Jacqueline Cook joined Commercial Insurance Consultants (CIC), in 2017 as an Account Executive. She brings a wealth of expertise from the Insurance industry.
Jackie applies her combined knowledge and skills to help clients understand, maintain and manage their insurance programs.
Prior to joining our team, Jackie was a Workers’ Compensation Claims Examiner at Sedgwick in Rochester, New York. She managed and evaluated claims of all complexity levels from time of injury to resolution. She worked directly with clients to forecast future risks based on internal and industry trends, established strategies to mitigate exposures and developed plans to assist in resolution of outstanding claims.
She is a graduate of the State University of New York at Oswego where she earned her Bachelors of Science in Finance. She holds Workers’ Compensation Licenses in New York, New Hampshire, Connecticut and Vermont in addition to experience in Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
Ryan Fox joined Commercial Insurance Consultants (CIC), in 2018 as an Account Coordinator, providing support to the extended CIC team. With his background in the insurance industry, he brings distinctive experience to CIC.
Prior to joining our team, Ryan was a Commercial Insurance Specialist at KeyBank Insurance and Benefits Services in Rochester, New York. He serviced multiple books of commercial insurance business for a variety of commercial real estate, manufacturing and construction accounts. He assisted Account Managers with insurance renewals and daily service needs to enhance the Agency’s relationship with the clients.
Ryan contributes his expertise and skills as an acting Young Adult Board Member of two charities – 13Thirty Cancer Connect and Hilarity for Charity. He supports members of the Rochester community that are affected by cancer by participating in fundraising and outreach efforts for 13Thirty, an organization that helps adolescents and young adults that are impacted by cancer. Additionally, he successfully raised $100,000 for Hilarity for Charity, which benefits families struggling with Alzheimer’s care.
He is a graduate of the University of Vermont where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Applied Economics and Entrepreneurship. He is a New York State licensed Property and Casualty Insurance Broker.
In 2002, Jim formed JM Niland & Associates, LLC to provide hands on management of single parent captives and offer guidance to business owners investigating the alternative risk transfer marketplace.
Jim successfully established three single parent captives and two risk retention groups, while managing a single parent captive for the second largest heating oil distributor in the New York City area. Acting as their Outsourced Risk Manager, Jim practices all functions of a captive including: selection of the fronting and reinsurance carriers; domicile captive management; actuarial duties; and selection and management of the TPA and defense counsels.
Jim’s specialties explore and develop alternative risk transfer solutions for a range of coverages including Workers’ Compensation, General Liability and Professional Liability. While growing these programs he has developed a network of reinsurance carriers, captive management firms, actuaries and claims management firms.
Using his comprehensive risk management knowledge, Jim acts as an extension of his clients’ teams. He is an active participant in the claims management and loss control teams. His involvement in aggressive claims management and safety programs have significantly reduced the costs of risk transfer for his clients.
Utilizing her combined knowledge and experience, Sandra helps clients manage their Workers’ Compensation programs by analyzing claim performance and identifying trends. Furthermore, she employs her keen insight to ensure programs are managed at an optimum level.
Prior to joining our team, Sandra was a Claims Team Lead at Sedgwick in Rochester, New York where she supervised a team of six adjusters handling Workers’ Compensation claims in multiple jurisdictions. She was also the designated State Expert for Connecticut for the past 10 years.
Sandra holds Workers’ Compensation Claims Administration licenses with the New York State and Connecticut Insurance Department. She is a graduate of Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario where she earned a graduate degree in Anthropology.
